Scope and topics
FABA welcomes both theoretical and applied studies, including (but not limited to) the following areas:
- Financial markets and financial integration
- Financial sustainability
- Monetary and fiscal policy
- Banking and financial intermediation
- Corporate finance and financial management
- Financial crises, regulation, and supervision
- International finance and public finance
- Behavioral aspects of finance
- Interdisciplinary financial studies
- Accounting analysis, financial accounting, and management accounting
- Auditing
- Business analysis
- Economics (where clearly connected to the journal’s aims)
Target readership
The journal addresses researchers, academics, professionals, and policy makers working in finance, accounting, business analysis, and related domains.
Manuscript types
The journal considers research papers, review papers, theoretical papers, and case studies. All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
Language
Articles are published in English only.
Peer review and editorial screening
All submissions are subject to initial editorial screening and double-blind peer review.
Publishing schedule
The journal publishes two issues per year (June and December), with two issues forming one volume per year.
Open access, licensing, and fees
FABA provides immediate open access to published content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. The journal does not charge fees for article approval or publishing.
DOIs
All articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) registered via Crossref under the prefix 10.37075.
Publisher and management
Since June 2024, the journal has been owned and published by the University of National and World Economy (Sofia, Bulgaria).
The journal is jointly managed by the Institute for Economics and Politics and the Department of Finance at the University of National and World Economy, in cooperation with the Monetary Research Center at the University of National and World Economy.
The journal is published by Academic Publishing UNWE.
